The Gaudium Magnum Foundation took part in the WAF Global Summit 2026, held on 26–27 January at the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona, as a member of the World Art Foundations (WAF) network.

Bringing together art foundations, cultural leaders, and international experts, the summit offered a timely space to reflect on how global change is reshaping the responsibilities and possibilities of foundations today.

The World Art Foundations network is an international platform that connects leading art foundations committed to supporting artistic practice, fostering exchange, and strengthening the role of philanthropy in culture. Through research, convenings, and collaborative initiatives, WAF encourages dialogue across geographies and disciplines, addressing shared challenges and future-facing models for cultural institutions.

Across two days of dialogue and exchange, summit participants engaged with themes that closely resonate with Gaudium Magnum’s mission and practice: governance and institutional sustainability, education and knowledge-sharing, environmental responsibility, and new approaches to the circulation of exhibitions in an increasingly interconnected world.

Gaudium Magnum’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to these conversations and to collaborative thinking at an international level, affirming the belief that foundations are not isolated actors, but active contributors to cultural life, social responsibility, and the shaping of a more thoughtful and sustainable future.
