Pieter Biesboer
Art historian specialising in Dutch painting, formerly curator at Frans Hals Museum
Peter Bisboer (1944-2025) was a prominent art historian and former curator at the Frans Hals Museum for more than thirty years.
He was an expert on seventeenth-century Dutch art, with a particular focus on Frans Hals. His publications include numerous exhibition catalogues, research papers and contributions to the Getty Research Institute’s Thieme-Becker catalogue.
