Odette D’Albo

Curator of the art collections of Credito Emiliano (Credem) in Reggio Emilia

With degrees in modern art history from the University of Bologna in 2007 and the l’Università Cattolica in Milan in 2010 and a scholarship at the Fondazione Roberto Longhi in Florence in 2010-11, Odette D’Albo obtained her PhD from the l’Università Cattolica in Milan in 2016. Her primary areas of research and expertise are figurative culture in Lombardy from the 16th to the 18th century and the history of collecting. She has participated in a number of conferences both in Italy and abroad, and her work has appeared in Arte Lombarda, Paragone and Nuovi Studi.

In 2015, she edited the volume Giovanni Stefano e Giuseppe Montalto. Due pittori trevigliesi nella Lombardia barocca and, together with Hugh Brigstocke, she is the author of the monograph entitled Giulio Cesare Procaccini. Life and Work with a Catalogue of his Paintings (2020). In 2024, she and Antonio D’Amico co-curated the exhibition Lo sguardo del sentire. Il Seicento emiliano dalle collezioni d’arte Credem at the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi in Milan. She has been curator of the art collections of Credito Emiliano (Credem) in Reggio Emilia since 2016.
